^Lot 4103 vCUSTOM CASED & ENGRAVED COLT MODEL 1862 POCKET

POLICE. Cal. 36. S# 13263. Colt 1862 pocket police is in the standard configuration with 5.5" barrel with one line New York address, mounted with smooth ivory grips. The backstrap has block letter inscription which is probably engraved in 20th century: "John H McFarland / IND VOL INF". Fancy scroll engraving is 20th century. Old mahogany casing is relined and partitioned in blue velvet, compartmented for brass "COLTS PATENT" 2-cavity mold, brass bag flask, cap tin, and reproduction cartridge pack. CONDITION: fair to good overall as restored, custom engraved, silver plated, some markings and serial numbers have been re-engraved or freshened, nipples in cylinder are replaced, non spring wedge is replacement.
